Sharing Mary Jordan's Thoughts

Sharing knowledge so you can be successful in life

        Making a first impression

When I think of a FIRST IMPRESSION, the very first thought I have of someone I just met. Did I have warm and fuzzy thoughts?? Was that person, man or woman, knowledgeable, well mannered and had a smile with twinkly eyes?

How would he or she carry on a conversation with someone? I wouldn't want to feel any negative vibes from someone. How was he or she dressed or their ability to have a conversation?

Remember: Do not GOSSIP about friends or family. When someone you know tells you something in confidence (Something PERSONAL) you shouldn't tell the WORLD about that CONVERSATION. GOSSIPING CAN BE VERY HURTFUL.

If that CONFIDENCE is something that could HURT SOMEONE or HURT a GROUP of PEOPLE, YOU SHOULD GO TO THE AUTHORITIES. Tell them everything in DETAIL. Your FAMILY MEMBER or FRIEND NEEDS HELP BY A PROFESSIONAL.

For someone, man, woman, young adult or child: Before we leave our homes for the day. We all need to make sure we have clean hair (shampoo and condition), shave our faces (men). Take a bath or shower. Brush your teeth, gargle with mouthwash, and floss our teeth.

Women, Remember to : Shave under your arms and legs; Sugaring or Waxing are great for: private areas.

Men and Women: Wax or sugar eyebrows, lips or Wax or Sugar Faces if NEEDED; unwanted lip hair and nose hair are unsightly.

Deodorant is great for underarms, stops unwanted smells.

Woman: if you would like to use fragrance powders or perfumes (only if you're not allergic to them).

Body lotions are great for: softening the skin, legs, arms, face, back and body. It helps with rough/dry skin. Soft scents are my favorite.

Brushing your teeth: (toothpaste with whitening agents and toothpaste needs to have fluoride anti-cavity.

Flossing and mouth wash refreshes your mouth daily. Remember to do all three of these things daily, every time you have a meal (three times a day).

If needed, you may want to use a daily tongue scraper...this is good for fresh breath. Over 80% of bad breath originates in the mouth- not the stomach- which is why tongue scraping in the  mouth are so incredibly effective.

Remember to:  Apply skincare or makeup if needed.

Manicures and Pedicures: The appearance of your hands and feet can tell a lot about someone. When we meet someone for the first time or have known someone for a long time, we want our impression of ourselves to be, thought of, highly. Taking time in our busy lives, to care of our  hands and feet, will make us feel better about ourselves.

Taking the time to: Mend your clothes or Ironing  clothes when needed, tells the world we care about ourselves and the people around us.

A fashionable haircut  or color on hair, helps us to feel better about ourselves. Remember: To have your Hair Shaped up EVERY 6 Weeks.

If you Color, Highlight or Perm your Hair Remember: Visit your Hair Stylist Every 8-12 Weeks. Have your hair Recolored, Highlighted or Permed

When we're talking to someone, we NEVER want to curse, while we are having a conversation; at work, our  home, with friends, with  family, shopping or on vacation ect...

I can REMEMBER my mother telling me as child, if you can say no good words to  one another, DO NOT SAY ANYTHING!!!

When going to a store, where there are books, pick up something different to READ. Whether it's a Cooking Book, Photography or Building a room for extra storage.

We all can learn a new word out of the dictionary, weekly. This can expand our knowledge.

Maybe I would like to LEARN another Language, the list is Endless.
